Built on December 15, 1906, the Piccadilly Line has been an extremely integral part of daily life in London. It is London's fourth busiest tube line, with over two hundred million passenger journeys a year. Characterized by its dark blue printing, the Piccadilly Line picks up its passengers from Cockfosters to the Heathrow terminals. During May of 2023, I and over twenty other students from Goshen College were given the opportunity to live in the heart of London, learning about the history of the arts active in Garden. The Piccadilly Line, along with the Bakerloo and Victoria Line not only become our only form of quick transportation, but a part of daily life. I will never forget the bumpy and somewhat terrifying late rides on the Piccadilly Line to get back to the St. Athans Hotel. This piece, which was composed for the 2024 24x24 event at Bowling Green State University is meant to evoke the rush and busy feeling of the tubes, as well as the sometimes scary and bumpy rides of the Piccadilly Line.
